The 80s are alive and well on my stereo

Yeah, the 80s are alive and well on my stereo. And I don’t mean a bunch of singles or greatest hits compilations. I mean entire albums, obscure albums, albums from bands that had one hit on a different album and of course some things you probably know. We dumped a whole bunch of stuff at a used CD shop a few weeks ago so, believe it or not, it could have been even worse.

Here’s a sampling…

Tears For Fears – The Hurting

Book Of Love – Lullaby

A-Ha – Scoundrel Days

The Psychedelic Furs – Should God Forget: A Retrospective

U2 – The Unforgettable Fire

The Ocean Blue – The Ocean Blue

Depeche Mode – Music For The Masses

The Church – Heyday

The Connells – Boylan Heights

The Smiths – Meat Is Murder

Pet Shop Boys – Actually

Now that’s real music, not like this modern crap they force upon us (I’m talking to YOU Disney channel – yes, my daughter IS 7, why do you ask?).

Even though you’ve been immersed in all kinds of music all of your life, That is pretty much the music I associate you with. But you forgot Alphaville.

I’m not sure why I didn’t play Alphaville that day. I took the CD off the shelf a few times for sure, but it just didn’t make it to the stereo. Now it’s in my head, so I have to put it on. See what you’ve done!
